Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Retired), OFR, Launches Book Titled “The Military Iconic Leader of Our Time”

The Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Retired), OFR, officially launched his book titled “The Military Iconic Leader of Our Time” at a colourful ceremony held at the Armed Forces Officers’ Mess, Abuja. The event attracted a distinguished gathering of eminent personalities from across the country.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon; former Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan; Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti; the Deputy Governors of Kaduna and Sokoto States; former Chief of Defence Staff; members of Regular Course 38; Secondary School Mates from Sokoto; as well as senior military officers and other notable guests.

In his remarks, the author, General Christopher Musa (Retired), OFR, expressed profound appreciation to everyone who contributed to the successful publication and launch of the book. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of military personnel, emphasizing that prioritizing their welfare is not only a moral responsibility but a strategic necessity for sustainable nation-building.

In his words, the Minister stated that investing in the welfare of military personnel strengthens operational efficiency and enhances national security. He also commended President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his resolute commitment to combating insecurity and supporting reforms within the Armed Forces.

Former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, in his address, praised General Musa’s leadership since assuming office. He noted that the Minister’s strategic initiatives have significantly improved the operational capacity of the Nigerian Armed Forces and positively impacted national development.

Similarly, former Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan, applauded General Musa’s steadfastness and resilience. He remarked that the leadership style of the Minister has restored hope to Nigerians in the fight against insecurity and in the ongoing restructuring and strengthening of the Armed Forces.

The event, marked by rich discussions and goodwill messages, was widely regarded as a renewed call for collective responsibility in nation-building and national security advancement.
